Carolyn Duke Anderson left this mortal life on February 8, 2017 after a long battle with kidney disease.  She was born July 5, 1935 in Brigham City, UT to Harold Clyde and Daisy Lenora Jensen Duke.  She grew up in Honeyville, UT with her best friend and rebel Carolyn Hunsaker.  Carolyn was born with a love for music and loved singing and playing in bands.  She could self teach herself to play almost any instrument including the piano, guitar, banjo, steel guitar and harmonica.  She loved to perform and sing with her Eternal Companion and best friend Steve Anderson.  She wrote a lot of gospel and country music and published childrens books. 

Carolyn is survived by her eternal sweetheart Steven J, Anderson of Alamo, NV.  She is the mother of 7 children; Jalyn (Ned) Cobbley of Mantua, UT, Cardell (Debbie) Sackett of Huntington, UT, Kevin (deceased) Cindy Sackett Thompson of Tremonton, UT, Randy Anderson of Alamo, NV, Robin (Craig Grover) Anderson of Hollister, ID, Lori (Kevin) Williams of Garland, UT and Kim (Bruce) Bowcutt of Tremonton, UT.  She also has 17 grandchildren who she was very proud of, 42 great grandchildren, her brother Harold (Lee) Duke, sisters Jean Tillman, Jan (Gordon) Jensen Rasmussen, Velma (Dave) Blodget.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, 1 brother and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Alamo LDS Ward Chapel in Alamo, NV, with a viewing from 10:00 - 10:45 prior to services.  A funeral service will also be held Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Gillies Funeral Home in Brigham City, UT, with a viewing from 10:00 -10:45 am.  Interment will follow in the Bothwell Cemetery, Bothwell, UT. Funeral services are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home, Huntington, UT.
