Obituary

On January 28, 2022, Claudia Alice Kenney left her earthly cares behind. She is having a glorious runion with her parents William Ramsus Justesen and LaVon Violet Gregerson. Cassie Cox Ewell, (a granddaughter), Heath Oveson, (a grandson) and Teo Dal Oveson, (a great grandson) will no longer be missed! She has been reunited with the love of her life, Mike Kenney.  Preceded in death by her first husband, and father of her children, Nelson Cox. (Divorced.)

Claudia is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed several callings and associations with lifelong friends. Claudia loved her family. She loved talking on the phone and staying in touch with all who knew her. We have amazing memories of barbecues in her backyard, camping, exploring the San Rafael Desert, holidays and family reunions with our Justesen, Tuttle, Cox, and Gregerson families. She loved painting, cake decorating, dancing, and working in the Manti Temple.

Claudia loved living and growing up in Orangeville, Utah. Cousins who were cherished friends, did her hair, talked on the phone, loved her, and have enriched her life beyond measure. She loves her lifelong friends. She let them know they have a special place in her heart by keeping in contact. Claudia had a natural ability to connect and she was a friend to so many.

Claudia worked for Emery County Telephone Association for 5 years. She worked at Sunshine Alley clothing store in Castle Dale for 2 years, Utah Power and Light Service Center for 2 years, and UP&L Hunter Plant for 12 years. Claudia has cherished, lasting friendships and memories of those she worked with over the years.

Her children and family who love her, and celebrate her life are Dennis W (Debra) Cox of Cedar City, Utah. Trina (Jason) Branson of Orangeville, Utah. Doug Cox of Orangeville, Utah. David N (Elizabeth) Cox of Vernal, Utah.

Mike’s children; Michael J (Anna) Kenney, Marie L (Craig) Bowcut, Peter J Kenney. Claudia loved Mike’s family and their children and she shared amazing memories with them. Michael and Anna have continued to visit Claudia through the years and decorate her front porch with flowers every Mother’s Day.

She has been an amazing and cherished grandmother to her 25 grandchildren, (including Mike’s grandchildren) and 45 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is loved by many and will be missed.
