Zachary Wade Burgess-Nelson

Zachary Wade Burgess-Nelson, age 15, was blessed to continue his journey home on July 25, 2016. He died at home in Emery, Utah. He was born February 22, 2001, in Price, Utah. Zach is the beloved son of Rick and Laura Riddle Nelson of Emery, Utah, and son of Scott Burgess of Evanston, Wyoming. Zach is the cherished grandson of Don (deceased) and Judi Riddle of Emery, Utah, Gary and Velta Nelson of Salina, Utah, and Steve and Judy Burgess of Evanston, Wyoming.

Zach is survived by his parents; grandparents; brothers Stuart (Sterling), Christopher, Andrew, Riley B, Wyatt and sisters Lyndsie and Ryley. Cheyenne, Cody, and Colt of La Sal, Utah, are Zach's half-siblings. When he first came to Earth, he was part of a family which included Zach and Sterling, and also sisters Courtney, Faith, and Cammie. So many aunts, uncles, and cousins are among those who love our Zach.

Zachary is proud of his mixed heritage, sharing both white and American Indian Navajo cultures. He is a sweet, caring young man. He is so funny. He comes up with such comical responses to a comment, that you have to look at him and think, "Where did that come from?!"

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Emery, Utah. Funeral services will be at 12:30. Interment will be in the Emery Town Cemetery. Services are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home.
